Here Comes the Bride...

UPDATE:  I wanted to post one more of the dress so you can see the detail in the lace a little better, and a pic of my old beat up boots!
Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is hosting a "Show Us Your Life" - wedding dress post.  Here are a few pics of me marrying the man of my dreams!

My strapless gown is antique ivory lace over a latte lining.  At the waist, there is an embellished belt with pearls and crystals.  It was absolutely perfect for the rustic setting on our land in East Texas.  We were married surrounded by family and pine trees this February 2009.  The exact spot we were married on, is the same spot my husband told me he loved me for the first time. The ceremony was outside and a tent reception followed.

  12. haha yeah, thats a good blog to follow because you can get so much help b/c they've already have 'been there, done that!' Funny that he wants to do Cardiothoracic..my boyf is in that rotation right now and seems to really like it. I don't know all the 'technical' terms, when it comes to medicine, but I do know he just got 'PIMPed' by his Attending yesterday and knew more answers than some of the residents, ha--so maybe cardio is in his future! Anyways, he really wants to do surgery, specifically trauma. So I believe his residency will be in Gen. Surgery as well and then a fellowship in Trauma, I think. He actually has his first interview this coming week, eek! Sorry for such a long comment, ha!

  19. Thanks so much everyone! I've actually had my boots for several years now, and was looking for some new "fancier" ones to wear to the wedding. I knew that boots would be the best thing, our wedding and reception was outside, so heels wouldn't have worked. My boots kind of happened by accident, I took them to the tailor when I was having my dress hemmed, so he would know what length, and the second I put them on with the dress, I knew they would work! It was a bonus they were all broken in and comfy, plus I saved some money on not buying new ones!

Paige-I would love it it you featured a link to my blog, thanks!

I'm so excited for Kelly's next two wedding topics. More wedding pics to come, stay tuned.....
